Portland broadcast WMTW ABC 8 turned to the expertise of John Turner, Associate Professor of History, on the global implications of the recent fall of the Assad regime in Syria. Turner is an expert on the region’s history.

Assistant Professor of Government, Nicholas Jacobs, provided expert commentary for an article in The Atlantic about whether the incoming administration will betray their rural supporters. In the piece he noted that if some policies that were campaigned on are implemented "it’s hard to imagine that rural [places] will not suffer.”
