New Jersey’s Asbury Park Press, which is part of the USA TODAY network, published a feature on Julian Young ’25 and his recent participation in the Baltimore Ravens rookie minicamp. The piece included commentary from Jack Cosgrove, the Dick McGee Head Coach for Colby Football, and highlighted Young’s positive experience at Colby.
NBC News interviewed Visiting Assistant Professor of History Tizoc Chavez for his insight on presidential diplomacy following the announcement of President Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

Sports Illustrated published a feature story on a Colby connection that propelled senior football captain Julian Young ’25 toward the NFL. After wowing scouts at Maine’s Pro Day, Young was personally invited to the Baltimore Ravens rookie minicamp by GM and fellow Mule Eric DeCosta ’93. The Ravens also published a special feature on Young.
The New York Times mentioned Colby in its 2025 round-up of commencement speakers.

Colby's building at 173 Main St. was named the Kirk & Greg Powell Building during a recent presentation led by President David Greene. The building dedication honored the father and son whose commitment to Waterville has spanned generations and had a major impact on the city.
