The Colby women’s softball team reached a national ranking of 14th, earning an NCAA Division III tournament berth. Backed by power pitching and stingy defense, the Mules defeated Massachusetts Institute of Technology twice on the same day to win their first NCAA Regional title and advance to the NCAA Division III Super Regional round. Outfielder Carissa Cassidy ’26, who earned her fourth career All-NESCAC nod with a .472 batting average, and pitcher Sophia Meade ’28 locked down All-Region First Team honors to anchor the historic run.

On the other diamond, the baseball team secured a NESCAC tournament berth behind its All-NESCAC selections Patrick Shrake ’27 and Matt Higgins ’28. Shrake led the Mules with a .386 average and provided steady defense at shortstop, while Higgins punched out 40 opposing batters.

The women’s track and field team raced to a 13th-place finish at Nationals, compiling All-American honors in the 100m, 200m, 4×100, and 4×400 relays. The 4×400-meter relay team, consisting of Alex Hermsdorf ’29, Charlotte Brake-Hoffman ’28, Olivia Doherty ’26, and Kaitlyn Ewald ’27, finished third with a time of 3:44.27.

The men’s team took 34th in the nation, highlighted by All-American Levi Biery ’26 finishing third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.81 seconds.

The men’s crew team swept all five races at the 28th President’s Cup, shutting out rivals Bates and Bowdoin colleges, while the women’s team earned second-place honors.

On the turf, women’s lacrosse fought their way to a 24th consecutive NESCAC tournament appearance and an NCAA at-large bid, anchored by lockdown defenders Gisele Uva ’28 and Izzy Wang ’26.

The men’s and women’s tennis teams competed against some of the top-ranked teams in the country and secured a fifth consecutive NESCAC tournament berth. Standouts Jason Daly ’27 and Paul Ziets-Segura ’28 for the men, along with Michaela Finestone ’27 for the women, capped their seasons with All-Conference honors.
